Katelin was selected to be a member of the 2026 Women’s Work Short Play Lab with New Perspectives Theatre Company. The cohort members will each write new short plays linked by a theme, to be fully produced as a festival in August.

Katelin’s multi-generational family drama An Empty Room was short-listed for Seattle Public Theater’s Distillery program and selected as a finalist for the Charles M. Getchell New Play Award from the Southeastern Theatre Conference. It was also a third-rounder for the Parity Development Award and a second-rounder in the Austin Film Festival Script Competition, Stage Play category.

Katelin’s Antigone-inspired short play Tig & Izzy was presented as part of Left Edge Theatre’s Hindsight Festival, and had a full production as part of Blank Page Theatre’s Summer New Works Festival.

An Empty Room had a developmental reading with The Drawing Board, with performances by a stellar cast and a lively, insightful post-reading discussion.

Katelin’s play Hot Air was published and licensed as part of Ten(ish): Holidays, a collection of holiday-themed short plays, by Stage Partners. You can access it here!

Katelin’s play The Isabel Sanchez Memorial Elementary School Proudly Presents Its (First) Annual Talent Show! was produced in the Off Broad Street Short Play Festival by Gather by the Ghost Light!

Katelin helped to create and produce PlayList with The CRY HAVOC Company, where she is Associate Artistic Director. PlayList is an annual short play project where playwrights are selected through an open application process to write new short plays with CRY HAVOC, based on creative prompts linked by a theme. The program culminates in a public reading of the playwrights’ work.
