Katelin’s multi-generational family drama An Empty Room won Second Prize in the Vox Nova Playwright Festival through Theatricus Collective. The prize includes a staged reading of the play and a (small, but appreciated!) cash award.
Katelin was selected to be a member of the 2026 Women’s Work Short Play Lab with New Perspectives Theatre Company. The six cohort members each wrote new short plays linked by a theme, and Katelin’s play Welcome the Stranger was produced in the program’s culminating festival in August.
Katelin’s Antigone-inspired short play Tig & Izzy was produced as part of the Distress Signals Project at ArtShare L.A.
An Empty Room was short-listed for Seattle Public Theater’s Distillery program and selected as a finalist for the Charles M. Getchell New Play Award from the Southeastern Theatre Conference. It was also a third-rounder for the Parity Development Award and a second-rounder in the Austin Film Festival Script Competition, Stage Play category.
Katelin’s short play Visions of Sugarplums, a re-imagining of The Nutcracker, was presented at FRIGID NY Holiday Spirits.
Tig & Izzy was presented as part of Left Edge Theatre’s Hindsight Festival, and had a full production as part of Blank Page Theatre’s Summer New Works Festival.
An Empty Room had a developmental reading with The Drawing Board, with performances by a stellar cast and a lively, insightful post-reading discussion.

Katelin’s play The Isabel Sanchez Memorial Elementary School Proudly Presents Its (First) Annual Talent Show! was produced in the Off Broad Street Short Play Festival by Gather by the Ghost Light!
Katelin continues to participate in the curation and production of PlayList with The CRY HAVOC Company, where she is Associate Artistic Director. PlayList is an annual short play project where playwrights are selected through an open application process to write new short plays with CRY HAVOC, based on creative prompts linked by a theme. The program culminates in a public reading of the playwrights’ work.
